TO THE HAWKINS ARMS PROBUS
The Hawkins Arms is an old coaching inn in the centre of the village of Probus. Our family run pub gives visitors and locals a welcoming, relaxed place to come for a drink or to dine with friends and family. We have a lovely beer garden for hot and sunny days and a cosy fire for the colder months. We offer good car parking and above all a very warm welcome.
We serve Cask Marque Accredited Real Ales and are very proud of our real home cooked quality food. There is always something going on at the Hawkins Arms - from Live entertainment, quizzes, live music and events.

The Hawkins Arms is located midway between Truro and St Austell just off the A390. The pub has a rich history.

Our Food
Our approach to food is simple – our aim is to offer restaurant quality, at pub prices. We pick the best local ingredients to produce superb meals with a touch of distinctive style. Fantastic food that’s an affordable treat. Our approach can take a little extra time , so bear with us in busy periods - it will be worth the wait!
Choose from our wide-ranging menu - from a filling sandwich for lunch such as West Country Cheddar and homemade apple and grape chutney to our own recipe steamed Steak & Kidney Pudding with bubble and squeak and seasonal vegetables. There’s choices for vegetarians and younger diners and changing daily specials created from seasonal ingredients.
Where possible our food is freshly prepared on the premises using ingredients from local suppliers, sourcing the finest local produce from Cornwall and the South West.

Our Drinks
A TASTE OF CORNWALL AND BEYOND
We are proud of our roots and serve a range of ales from the St Austell brewery from Cornwall, alongside cask ales and other draught beers from further afield.
We are Cask Marque accredited and our ales include the ever popular Tribute, Bath Gem and a weekly guest ale.
Our lagers include Sulis, Carlsberg and Angelo Poretti. For cider lovers we have a good selection on draught and in bottles including the famous “Cornish Rattler” from Healeys Cider farm near Newquay.
We serve up a fine range of hand-picked wines and unexpected spirits too. Why not try a G&T made with Tarquin’s handcrafted Cornish gin?
